We understand that cancer affects more than the patient. It has a way of altering the lives of friends, family members and caregivers as well. Therefore Network membership and activities are also available to family and friends of cancer survivors, regardless of where the cancer patient receives treatment.

We encourage family and friends to join the Network so they may also receive the Link for Hope newsletter and stay informed about what is happening in the world of cancer. The weekly education and support group meetings held at IU Health Goshen Center for Cancer Care are open to cancer patients, their family and their friends.

Explaining cancer to children or grandchildren is often difficult. We have child friendly books which you may borrow to help you with the task. Kids Konnected,  www.kidskonnected.org is a not for profit organization dedicated to helping children of parents with cancer.

Patients of the IU Health Goshen Center for Cancer Care are welcome to bring their family and friends with them for their consultations and appointments. You - the caregivers - are welcome to accompany your loved ones, you are not left to sit in the waiting room.  And remember, our mind-body counselors are here to help you and your family discuss and process the changes that cancer brings.
