Patients, families, and friends will find support and understanding as they cope with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Each session includes an educational component as well as opportunity for group sharing and interaction. Sessions are free. No need to register.
Jan. 10 New Year, Renewed Hope: Reflect on last year while identifying hopes for the year ahead. Solidify your intentions by creating personalized hope stones. No artistic experience necessary. (Bethany Swope, Mind-Body Counselor).
Jan. 24 Tips for a Healthier 2017: A registered dietitian will share healthier eating practices (“it’s about more than food choices”) and introduce you to a new wellness program called “Elev•Eight” being offered at the cancer center. (Tiffany Swartzentruber, RD)
Feb. 14 Your Life in Lists: Journaling can be as simple as making a list, and still have a positive impact on well-being. Come to learn a new, fun, and meaningful way to journal. (Rita Gingrich, Mind-Body Counselor)
Feb. 28 Survivor Network Updates: Come hear the ways that the Survivor Network is connecting survivors together for strength and support. Learn how you can be a part of that! (Libby Stout, Survivor Network Coordinator)
Mar. 14 Tips for Improving the Moment: Any given week – or day – can include a range of challenging interactions and emotions. Learn quick strategies that can be used to improve any situation. (Karen Alkema, Mind-Body Counselor)
