Exploring Mindfulness: A Virtual Support Group
The Mind-Body Counselors are excited to launch, Exploring Mindfulness, a free online support group series utilizing Zoom. Mindfulness is about learning to experience life fully as it unfolds—moment by moment. Through the practice of mindfulness, you can learn to develop greater calmness and clarity in facing and embracing all life experiences, and turning them into occasions for learning, growing and deepening your own strength and wisdom.
These sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 10:45a.m. on Aug. 11, 18 and 25. We ask participants commit to planning to attend all three sessions. To register, please talk to your Mind-Body Counselor or call 574-364-2948 by Aug. 4.
The support group and Zoom application are free. A counselor will contact each participant before the first session to check comfort with use of Zoom and review confidentiality.
The Goshen Center for Cancer Care has been offering on-site support groups for people with cancer and their loved ones for almost 20 years. Due to our commitment to the safety and health of everyone we care for during COVID-19, Living with Cancer support groups were put on hold in mid-March.
